A wet underfloor heating system was included on the ground floor with individual room thermostats allowing temperatures to be controlled with 0.5 of a degree C and even wirelessly controlled on a phone.
Externally natural stone was laid to the side and rear of the property and feature walls added for amenity purposes. The front had a new block paved drive and a contemporary metal gate for security and privacy.
As consent was already in place we had limited ability to make external changes so focussed on making the internal layout more efficient and suitable for modern living.
We revised the kitchen / utility arrangement, increasing the storage space in the utility by better positioning of the doors. The roof lantern was re-positioned centrally over an island feature allowing natural daylight to flood over what is often the 'hub' of the house. Better flow was achieved into the hallway by removing an internal door, the stairs were made wider and a partition included on the stairs rather than a bannister.
The windows to the front elevation were changed to full height glass which provided a more open and spacious feeling to the rooms.
"The property was close to completion and I fell in love with it instantly. It is beautifully designed, with considerable thought given to both the layout and functionality of the home. I sincerely appreciate Neil’s level of involvement to ensure that the tenant and property fit each other perfectly and look forward to being a long-term tenant and steward of this beautiful home".
